This is a comprehensive alphabetic list of every band & solo artist to play the ballroom from 1938 to date.
More than 1,100 separate acts played more than 10,000 dates spread over sixty eight years!

To save on tiresome scrolling time, you may wish to click a particular index letter.

The listing order is the same as used in many other publications (such as The Guinness Book of British Hit Singles & Albums) and works as follows:

Solo artists will be listed by the first letter of their surname.
Bands are listed by the first significant letter of their name, ignoring prefixes 'The' or 'A' (for example, 'The Skids' will be found listed under 'S' rather than 'T'.  If the first term is a name, they will be listed by the first letter of the surname.

In the 'Era' column you will find the first and last (or only) years they performed.
In the 'Gigz' column you will find the number of times they performed to date.

Once you've marvelled at the diversity and quality of the artistes displayed, click any of the names underlined and coloured blue to be directed to that act's biography on the 'Biogz' page. Those acts whose biographies elude me thus far remain black. (Maybe you know where the info can be found?).
